In August, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced the dismissal of 12,000 employees. However, there are claims that the actual number of layoffs is significantly higher, with some reports alleging that around 80,000 workers were affected. Compensation varied among those laid off, with some receiving support for 18 months, others only three months’ pay, and some receiving nothing at all. These claims have not been independently verified. Many individuals on social media echo concerns that employees were released without adequate severance. TCS has stated that the rumors regarding 80,000 job cuts are false.
