The audiences who flocked to theaters to mark the occasion contributed to Thamma’s box office collection of Rs 24 crore on its opening day. The film, which explores themes of family, social media, and youth-centric issues, has resonated with viewers, resulting in a strong first-day response. Its mix of comedy, action, and family dynamics has generated positive word-of-mouth, maintaining its audience numbers beyond the premiere. On its second day, Ayushmann and Rashmika’s film earned Rs 18 crore as audiences continued to enjoy it throughout the extended weekend. The storyline features Ayushmann as Alok Gupta and Rashmika Mandanna as Tadaka, navigating paranormal events alongside family challenges.

On day three, Thamma’s collection reached Rs 10 crore from advance bookings prior to its official release. The film achieved several milestones shortly after its debut, with early reception being highly favorable. According to Sacnilk, the trade portal, “With an additional Rs 12.5 crore on Day 3, Thamma’s domestic collection for the first three days crossed the Rs 50 crore mark. It stands as one of the biggest openers for Maddock Films since Stree 2.” Ayushmann takes on the role of Alok Gupta, while Rashmika portrays Tadaka, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays a vampire in the movie. The collaboration of these stars and the blend of action, comedy, and supernatural elements have contributed to the film’s success.
