Patna, June 4 (). A major portion of the under-construction four-lane bridge across the Ganga river between Sultanganj and Aguwani in Bihar collapsed in the river on Sunday evening. Even before this a part of the under-construction bridge had collapsed.
The video of the collapse of the bridge being constructed between Khagaria-Aguwani-Sultanganj is now going viral on social media. According to the officials, the segment on three legs from the Parbatta police station area of Khagaria also collapsed and fell into the river Ganga.
After getting information about this incident, the officials of the district administration reached the spot and started the investigation.
It is worth mentioning that earlier also the super structure of this under-construction bridge had fallen into the river. In the strong storm and rain, about 100 feet long part had fallen heavily.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had laid the foundation stone of this bridge in the year 2014.
