Jaipur, March 31 (). Closed-door meetings of top RSS and BJP leaders in Rajasthan on Friday fueled speculation of further reshuffle in the party organization in the state.
The BJP’s central leadership surprised many by naming Joshi as the Rajasthan BJP chief, at a time when the party is gearing up for the assembly elections to be held later this year.
Now again speculation has started that the saffron camp has called back-to-back meetings ahead of the meeting of the core committee and party legislators scheduled on April 2.
Party insiders said veteran BJP leaders including CP Joshi, Arun Singh and BL Santosh reached Jaipur on Thursday evening and held closed-door meetings with top RSS leaders since Friday morning.
According to party sources, Deputy Leader of Opposition Rajendra Rathore will be promoted to Leader of Opposition during the Legislature Party meeting on April 2. Currently, Rathore is the frontrunner for the post, said a senior BJP leader.
A BJP worker said, the sudden change in the party leadership has caused a jolt and now there will be changes in the organization as well, for which senior party leaders have come to Jaipur. Rajasthan BJP in-charge Arun Singh has reached Jaipur despite his busy schedule for Karnataka elections. All this suggests that we are going to see more changes soon.
