Australian opener Travis Head has decided to miss the final two T20 matches against India. Instead, he will participate in the Sheffield Shield match for South Australia against Tasmania starting on November 10. Head made this decision to prepare for the upcoming Ashes Test series against England. The Australian cricket board provided him the choice between playing the T20s or the Shield. Other prominent players, including Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, and Nathan Lyon, will also compete in the Sheffield Shield ahead of the first Test, which is set to commence on November 21 in Perth.
