Shahjahanpur (UP), April 2 (). A 13-year-old boy committed suicide by hanging himself after failing in the Class VII examination in Uttar Pradesh’s Shahjahanpur.
The incident is of Atsaliya village under Roja police station area.
The boy said in a suicide note that he was humiliated by teachers at the private school he attended, and that his parents forced him to continue studying despite struggles.
The victim’s parents have alleged that a school teacher was pressurizing her to take extra tuition classes and demanding Rs 5,000 in exchange for passing marks.
SHO Roja K. B. Singh said: There are no signs of disturbance. The body has been sent for postmortem and the matter is being investigated.
