Inaugurating the Northern Region-II Regional Conference on Contemporary Judicial Developments and Strengthening of Justice through Law and Technology here, he highlighted the importance of technology in making life easier for common people in every sector including judiciary.
The Chief Minister stressed the need to look at technology as an ally in bringing about change and strengthening the justice system. He said, the induction of modern technology has accelerated the functioning of the judiciary and during the COVID-19 pandemic, virtual hearing has proved to be a boon for all, saving both money and time of the people.
He said that a credible and speedy judicial system is necessary for a healthy and self-confident society as well as for the development of the country and when justice is seen to be served, the faith of the common man in the constitutional institutions is strengthened and the rule of law is maintained continuously. improvement becomes possible.
The Chief Minister said that delay in justice was one of the biggest challenges before the country and the judiciary was working earnestly to solve this problem.
