Noida, May 1 (). The weather has become pleasant in Noida. On the last day of April i.e. on Sunday, the weather has cooled down due to heavy rains in many areas and a significant drop in mercury has been recorded. According to the Meteorological Department, till May 4, the weather will remain like this and people will get relief from the heat. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has expressed the possibility of rain till May 4.
After the drizzle on Saturday night, the weather remained cloudy on Sunday morning. Although there was a feeling of heat due to sunlight between 12 noon and 4 pm, but by 5 pm the weather took a turn. Heavy rain followed the drizzle. This increased the coolness in the weather.
The maximum temperature was recorded nine degrees below normal at 29 and the minimum temperature was five degrees below normal at 18 degrees Celsius.
Generally, the temperature remains above 38 degrees during this time period. According to the Meteorological Department, a new western disturbance is becoming active from Monday. There is a possibility of heavy rain and snowfall in the western Himalayan region till May 3. While there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall over the plains of North India. There is an alert of hailstorm in western UP and Delhi as well. Light to moderate rain will occur in many areas of North India till May 4 on Sunday. Strong wind will also blow at a speed of 30-40 kilometers per hour. The temperature will remain below 30 degrees.
According to the report of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Noida’s Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 123 and Greater Noida’s at 132 due to rain on Sunday. This is a moderate category of air pollution. Due to the rain, the dust accumulated on trees and plants has also ended.
