New Delhi, June 5 (). The wife and her lover have been arrested for allegedly killing a CISF constable and fabricating a false story of his death due to electrocution. A Delhi Police officer gave this information on Monday.
The accused have been identified as 32-year-old M.K., a resident of Jhajjar district of Haryana. And in the form of 24-year-old Rahul Yadav, a resident of Mahendragarh district of Haryana.
According to the police, on May 31, a PCR call was received at the Vasant Kunj South police station, informing that a 38-year-old Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) constable had died after collapsing in his rented room in south Delhi’s Ghitorni area. Was taken to the hospital.
Police learned that the injured, identified as Rajeev, was taken to Safdarjung Hospital. He was declared dead on arrival at the hospital and his wife claimed he was electrocuted. No injury marks were found on the body of the deceased.
The crime scene was inspected by the crime team and the statements of the family members were recorded, said Manoj C., Deputy Commissioner of Police (South-West). The post-mortem of the deceased was done and the body was handed over to his family for last rites. On June 3, we got the postmortem report, which revealed that she was strangulated.
During investigation, the police team assigned to crack the case analyzed CCTV footage, in which a suspect was seen entering and exiting the building twice at the time of the incident.
The DCP said, after prolonged interrogation, the wife of the deceased named the suspect as Rahul Yadav. During the investigation, Rahul and MK were arrested and later confessed to being in a relationship. On May 31, there was a scuffle between Rajeev and Rahul, after which Rajeev was strangled.
After learning of Rajeev’s death, both Rahul and MK plan to fabricate an electric shock story.
To create the illusion that Rajeev was electrocuted, his body was kept inside the bathroom of his rented accommodation in Ghitorni, the DCP said. A bucket was filled with water, and an electric heating rod was immersed in it.
