On Wednesday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended greetings to the people of Bihar in a unique Bhojpuri manner, ahead of his three election rallies in the state later that day. In a post on X, he expressed, “Bihar ke sab bhai-bahin logan ke pranam ba. Aaj Raghunathpur, Shahpur evam Buxar Vidhan Sabha kshetra wasiyon se samvad ka avsar praapt hoga” (Greetings to all brothers and sisters of Bihar… Today I will get the opportunity to interact with the people of Raghunathpur, Shahpur, and Buxar assembly constituencies). Describing Bihar as a land of “knowledge, revolution and devotion,” he stated that the state remains aligned with the NDA, which he characterized as a representation of effective governance and nationalism.

Adityanath urged the people of Bihar to collectively stand against corrupt and divisive elements, asserting, “Bihar is ready, once again, for an NDA government.” This visit marks the second time the Uttar Pradesh chief minister has been in Bihar for election-related activities, as assembly elections are set for November 6 and 11, with results due on November 14. The elections feature a competitive race between the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal (United) (JD(U)), against the opposition Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA bloc)/Mahagathbandhan, which includes the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Indian National Congress (INC). Additionally, Prashant Kishor’s newly-established Jan Suraj is participating in the elections for the first time.
