Islamabad, May 4 (). At least seven teachers were shot at a school in Upper Kurram tehsil of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday. Following the latest incident of violence in the North Western Province, a state of emergency has been imposed in all hospitals in the area.
Local police said unidentified gunmen shot seven teachers in the staff room of the tehsil’s high school, reports The News. The teachers were present in the building to do their examination duty.
Another incident also took place in the same area. A teacher died in a moving vehicle here. With this, the total number of teachers killed in a day went up to 8.
The News reported that the police are looking for the killers, but have not yet been able to trace them.
