Krishna Kumari, the daughter of Maharana Bhim Singh of Udaipur, was engaged to Maharaja Bhim Singh of Jodhpur, but due to the death of Maharaja Bhim Singh before marriage, she was engaged to King Jagat Singh of Jaipur. At the same time, the daughter of Pokaran Thakur Sawai Singh was also about to get married.
With the aim of organizing the marriage in Jaipur, he went to Jaipur and started preparing for the marriage there. Maharaja Mansingh did not find this appropriate, so he justified Sawai Singh’s act and informed him that he should organize his daughter’s marriage in Jodhpur itself.
On this, Sawai Singh sent a reply that it is not improper to marry his daughter in Jaipur because his brother is Thakur of Gijgarh in Jaipur and she will be married in Jaipur Haveli.

So it is not unfair or disrespectful, but Krishna Kumari, daughter of Maharana Bhimsingh, was earlier related to Maharaja Bhimsingh and now she is being related to Jaipur King Jagat Singh, it is derogatory for Marwar.
Mansingh got an inquiry done in this regard and after finding Sawaisingh’s words to be true, he told Maharana Bhimsingh that Princess Krishna Kumari should not be related to Jaipur Naresh Jagatsingh. Maharana Bhim Singh did not pay any attention to Mansingh’s talk and sent Tika to Jaipur. Mansingh sent his army to stop the team carrying the vaccine.
The team carrying the vaccine reached Shahpura. On the other hand, Sawai Singh provoked the King of Jaipur. He told that returning Tika would be a great insult to the Jaipur Gharana. In this way Sawai Singh succeeded in provoking the Jaipur king against Mansingh. Due to the intervention of the King of Shahpura, there was no war between the Rathores and the team carrying the vaccine and the vaccine returned to Udaipur.
Sawai Singh now started agitating Jaipur King Jagat Singh regarding the return of Tika. He told that Jaipur Gharana has been greatly insulted by the return of Tika, so this insult should be avenged.
He now also put the question of Dhaunkalsingh in front of Jagatsingh and told that if Jagatsingh cooperates with Dhaunkalsingh and gets him his rights, then he will not oppose Krishna Kumari’s marriage and also many Rathor chieftains will also be in favor of Jaipur, With this, he would also be able to take revenge of his insult from Mansingh.
Jagat Singh has accepted Sawai Singh’s proposal, at this time Amir Khan Pindari’s party had become very effective in Rajasthan. The rulers of Jaipur and Jodhpur started trying to win him over in the war. Jaipur King Jagat Singh was able to win over Amir Khan to his side.
Mansingh also tried to get help from Scindia and Holkar, but he did not get any success. At this time, Jagat Singh had the support of Amir Khan, Mir Maqdriz Bajid Khan of Hyderabad, Khuda Baksh and Bikaner Naresh Surat Singh etc. Many Rathors of Sawai Singh’s side had also joined Jagat Singh’s side. Now Jagat Singh moved towards Jodhpur with this huge army.
Both the armies reached face to face at a place called Gingoli. As soon as the battle started here, many chieftains of Mansingh’s army became in favor of Jagatsingh. Being forced on this, Mansingh returned to Jodhpur. From here he decided to run away to Jalore, but on the insistence of some Sardars, he decided to stay in Jodhpur only.
Jagat Singh also reached Jodhpur on March 30, 1807 (Samvat 1863) along with his huge party. The city of Jodhpur was captured and Dhaunkal Singh was declared the ruler of Jodhpur.
Mansingh had put Indraraj Singhi etc. in prison. Now he has been freed. Mansingh tried to convince Sawai Singh through Indraraj. Indraraj reached Sawai Singh to explain, but it did not yield any result. Now Indraraj and Bhandari Gangaram reached Parbatsar and took control there. Here, Amir Khan was not getting the promised money from Jagat Singh.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, Indraraj now succeeded in getting Amir Khan on his side. After getting the cooperation of Amir Khan, Indraraj now marched towards Jaipur. A battle took place at a place called Fagi, in which the Jaipur army was defeated. Jagat Singh got scared. Sawai Singh was also forced to lift the cordon and run away. Sawai Singh and Dhokal Singh went to Nagaur.
In this way Mansingh was saved from possible harm. Sawai Singh was the root of all this discord. Mansingh now inspired Amir Khan to kill him. Amir Khan succeeded in killing him. After the murder of Sawai Singh, his son Salim Singh started mischief, but soon he became in favor of Man Singh. Mansingh gave him the villages of Dunada, Majul etc. in his jagir.
Murder of Krishna Kumari-
The tension between Jaipur and Jodhpur had increased because of Krishna Kumari. Amir Khan informed the Maharana that either he should marry Krishna Kumari to Mansingh or kill her, otherwise he (Amir Khan) would devastate his territory.
Chandawat Ajit Singh reached Maharana with this proposal of the rich. Due to the Chandawat-Shaktawat struggle, the state of Mewar had become very pathetic. So on July 21, 1810, the princess herself committed suicide and the bloodshed stopped.
