New Delhi, March 28 (). The Delhi Police has arrested a 56-year-old doctor for allegedly molesting a four-year-old girl at a clinic located in North West Delhi’s Adarsh Nagar area. An official gave this information on Tuesday.
According to the police, the incident took place on Sunday when the girl’s mother took her to a local clinic after she complained of abdominal pain.
The victim’s mother lodged a complaint on Monday in which she said that when she entered the clinic with her daughter, she remembered that she had forgotten her purse outside. But when she returned to the examination room, she found the doctor touching her daughter inappropriately, the complaint said.
Based on the complaint given by the victim’s mother, an FIR was registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act and other relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the accused doctor has been arrested, a senior police officer said. The police is probing the matter, he said.
