Patna, March 30 (). Unidentified assailants shot dead a teacher of a private school in Bihar’s Madhubani district on Thursday.
The incident took place in Mushari Tola of Arer police station area when teacher Saroj Thakur was returning to his native village Ijot village of Basopatti police station area after giving tuition to the students.
Police said that the incident took place around 6 pm. The local police have recovered the body and sent it for postmortem. The reasons for the murder are yet to be known.
In another incident, two people were shot and injured during looting in Hajipur on Thursday.
The two were returning home from work on a bike when three masked gunmen stopped them and tried to rob them of their valuables and vehicle. When they protested, the robbers opened fire on them. The victims received bullet injuries in their hands and have been admitted to the hospital.
