Lucknow, April 9 (). A woman in Lucknow was allegedly duped of over Rs 4 lakh on the pretext of completing a click form task.
The victim was searching online for a job. Meanwhile, he got a call from a woman, who introduced herself as a representative of a click farm.
He asked the victim to register herself on the company’s website by providing all her details and pay Rs 1,000 as fee.
He was promised a handsome salary for liking 40 videos per day, whose links would be sent to him by the company.
The woman got Rs 4,000 for liking 40 videos.
Later, he was asked to make some investments following which he would get better returns.
The accused made her download an application and asked her to transfer Rs 4.21 lakh in 12 different transactions.
He was given 40 tasks and told that he had 520 USTD (Bitcoin) in his account. Later the woman realized that she was cheated.
SHO, Vikas Nagar, Shivanand Mishra said that an FIR has been registered against the unknown person.
Cyber cell is probing the matter.
