New Delhi, April 14 (). Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said on Friday that labeling everyone a traitor is a dangerous practice.
The culture of branding anyone – be it opposition parties, civil society groups, activists, NGOs, judiciary, media and common citizens – as anti-nationals is a dangerous trend, he said in a statement. Will end it and destroy our constitution.
The Congress chief also alleged that Parliament has been turned into an arena of war instead of debate, not by the opposition but by the ruling party itself. He said, it is time for serious introspection whether we will allow the degeneration of our democracy and give way to dictatorship or try to preserve the noble ideals of our constitution makers. The choice is with us and only us.
Kharge on Friday Dr. B.R. Appreciated on Ambedkar’s birth anniversary as a champion of the democratic principles of liberty, equality, fraternity and justice. He was steadfast in his commitment to the transformation of India and its society, both economically and socially, he said. We all respect him a lot as the architect of the Constitution of India.
He said that Ambedkar was instrumental in setting up a large number of strong institutions and he made many important interventions to end caste discrimination, gender inequality and divisive politics.
