BJP state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule said, no such proposal has been received from anyone either verbally or in writing.

He, however, said that anyone who is ready to accept the BJP’s ideology is welcome to join the party, although leaders of ally and Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena expressed different views. Soon after Bawankule’s claim, Leader of the Opposition Ajit Pawar himself came forward and quashed all rumors of a political earthquake being hatched.

The rumors heated up the political atmosphere of the state with a lot of suspense and conspiracies given the history of the aggressive NCP leader’s November 2019 80-hour experiment. Earlier, NCP president Sharad Pawar also dismissed all speculation that his party was headed for a vote split with nephew Ajit Pawar preparing to walk out with at least 40 MLAs.

Top leaders of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), comprising the Congress-Shiv Sena (UBT) and the NCP, have consistently maintained that there was no question of another rebellion, a consistent stance that they have full faith in Ajit Pawar The three parties are now working together to strengthen the alliance for the upcoming elections.
