New Delhi, April 20 (). After several days of scorching heat, there has been a lot of relief from rain and hailstorm in Delhi and its surrounding areas on Tuesday evening.
While the temperature during the day touched a high of 38 degrees Celsius, the rain brought respite from the heat to the national capital. During the rains, hailstorm also occurred in some parts of the city.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the rains were the result of a western disturbance and a cyclonic circulation over Rajasthan.
The weather office had predicted light to moderate rain in Delhi and adjoining areas of north India over the next three days.
