Global City to be developed on Dubai pattern: Dushyant Chautala

Chandigarh, April 28 (). Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala said on Friday that a global city would be developed in Gurugram on the lines of Dubai. It will be spectacular in every way and will write a new chapter in the development of the state on the global stage.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that the layout of the Global City would make people feel that they have come to an international city like Dubai or Singapore. Many iconic buildings will also be built here on the lines of Dubai.

The Deputy Chief Minister held a meeting with officials in Chandigarh regarding the construction of the Global City. Additional Chief Secretary Industries and Commerce Anand Mohan Sharan and other senior officials were present in the meeting.

The Deputy Chief Minister instructed the officials that an excellent university should also be set up in the Global City. There will be both national and international students.

While reviewing the prepared map for the city, the Deputy Chief Minister also gave suggestions on various aspects like residential, institutional and commercial areas to be built there.

Instructing to speed up its construction, he said that there should be no compromise on quality in the construction work.

A Global City will be built on about 1000 acres near the Dwarka Expressway on Pataudi Road in Gurugram. Apart from this, he said that utility tunnel will be made for underground wiring of electricity, telephone and water pipes. All the wires will pass through the tunnel and if there is any problem, it can be fixed. Only separate sewer line will be laid.
