New Delhi, May 2 (). In its manifesto for the Karnataka Legislative Assembly elections, the Congress compared Vishwa Hindu Parishad affiliate Bajrang Dal with the PFI and promised to ban both organizations if voted to power. But a new political controversy has arisen in the country regarding this promise and manifesto of the Congress.
Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s Joint General Secretary Dr. Surendra Jain countering the comparison of Bajrang Dal with PFI, alleged that Congress and PFI have had an alliance and Congress had even opposed the banning of terrorist organizations like SIMI in Parliament.
Accusing Sonia Gandhi of trying to defame Bajrang Dal wrongly, he said that we will not tolerate this and Bajrang Dal will respond in every possible democratic way.
Surendra Jain said that the manner in which the Congress party, while releasing its manifesto for the Karnataka elections, compared the fiercely patriotic organization Bajrang Dal with the infamous, anti-national, terrorist and banned organization PFI, is unfortunate.
The VHP leader said that each and every worker of Bajrang Dal is devoted to the country and society, whereas the whole world is familiar with the activities of PFI.
Accusing Congress governments of supporting PFI, Jain said that Congress and PFI have had an alliance and Congress had protested on the streets even to ban terrorist organizations like SIMI inside Parliament.
