Hyderabad, May 4 (). The family of veteran actor Sarath Babu on Thursday denied rumors of his demise and clarified that his condition is stable.
The actor was hospitalized in Hyderabad for two weeks.
As soon as rumors of his death surfaced on social media, his brother Ayush Tejas clarified that there is no truth in it. He appealed to the fans not to believe in rumours.
According to him, Babu’s condition was better on Wednesday.
The doctors told the family that it would take a few days for Babu to recover completely.
Tejas thanked those who prayed for the actor’s speedy recovery.
The rumor of Babu’s demise spread on social media from Wednesday evening itself. Actor Kamal Haasan was also involved in this hoax. He expressed his condolences but later deleted the tweet.
The 71-year-old is undergoing treatment at AIG Hospital for age-related ailments. He was brought to Hyderabad from Bengaluru on April 20 and admitted to AIG.
Many parts of the actor are not working, which are being treated. According to sources, Babu is suffering from sepsis, which affects the functioning of kidney, lungs, liver and other organs.
