Hyderabad, May 6 (). The Telangana government will send a special aircraft to Imphal to evacuate students and civilians stranded in violence-hit Manipur. The state police chief gave this information on Saturday.
According to Director General of Police Anjani Kumar, the plane is scheduled to reach Imphal on the morning of May 7.
A special helpline cell in the DGP’s office is coordinating the evacuation.
The DGP had earlier announced setting up of an emergency helpline for Telangana citizens stranded in Manipur.
He said the Telangana Police is coordinating with the Manipur Police to provide assistance.

The phone lines are open round the clock and citizens can also email at dgpatdatetspolice.gov.in.
