Shivakumar said, I did not get the opportunity to join the cabinet during the Congress government led by late Dharam Singh and the previous government led by Siddaramaiah. But I didn’t lose my patience. Similarly, those who have not been given ministerial posts should also be patient. Shivkumar questioned, everyone is going to get a chance, why won’t they get it.

Meanwhile, prominent Lingayat priest Guru Siddharajyogendra Swamiji has urged the Congress government to give a ministerial berth to Laxman Savadi, who quit the BJP and joined the Congress.

Former Chief Ministers Jagadish Shettar and Laxman Savadi are experienced and good natured politicians, they should have found a place in the cabinet. He said, if Laxman Savadi is included in the cabinet, it will benefit the party.

Laxman Savadi’s supporters have started posting messages on social media targeting Siddaramaiah.

The post claimed, “You (Siddaramaiah) said that Laxman Savadi joining Congress has brought new strength to the party.” Savadi is the reason for Congress winning more seats in Belagavi district. Despite this, you have conveniently forgotten them.
