Patna, June 1 (). Bhojpuri singer Nisha Upadhyay was shot in the leg in Harsh firing during a program in Chhapra, Bihar. The police gave this information on Thursday.
The incident took place during a private function when Nisha was performing on stage at Sendhuar village under Janta Bazar police station in the district. Nisha was taken to Max Hospital in Patna and her condition is stable. His relatives also reached the hospital.
Nisha Upadhyay was called by Virendra Singh to Sendhuar village. Meanwhile, some people started firing in the air, out of which one bullet hit Nisha’s leg. After the incident, there was chaos at the spot and the people involved in the celebration fled from the spot.
Naseeruddin Khan, SHO of Janta Bazar police station, said, “We reached there as soon as we got information about firing at the event. Bhojpuri singer Nisha Upadhyay has been shot in the leg. We are trying to identify the accused. The formal complaint has not yet been received.
