Udaipur . Honorable Governor of Rajasthan Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde said that serving mute animals is the greatest service. When a human has physical pain, he can tell his pain to the doctor by speaking, but animals cannot speak.
This is a tough challenge for the personnel and students associated with the veterinary service, yet they serve them, this is a praiseworthy and admirable work.
Honorable Governor Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde was addressing the foundation stone laying ceremony of development works at the Veterinary and Animal Science College Navaniya located in Vallabhnagar area of Udaipur district on Saturday as the chief guest.
Bagde said that there is immense potential in animal husbandry and dairy sector in Rajasthan. This is a business with which the common poor person is associated. State governments run many schemes to promote animal husbandry and dairy industry.
The Honorable Governor, citing his own example, said that he too was associated with the Animal Husbandry and Dairy Products Association for many years. He praised the indigenous breed of animals and emphasized on their promotion and conservation.
Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde, while appealing to the students, said that now is the age of competition and specialization. In the earlier times, just being educated was enough, but now it is not enough. Students should study with full hard work and dedication and acquire expertise in their subject.
Governor Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde virtually laid the foundation stone of several construction works of the college.
Earlier, Hon’ble Governor Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde laid the virtual foundation stone for the construction of guest house in the college, boundary wall of the college and road construction work from Shiv Mandir of the college campus to Jorji Ka Kheda. He also released the booklet of the college.
Addressing the function, the state’s Animal Husbandry, Dairy, Cow Breeding and Devasthan Department Minister Joraram Kumawat said that Rajasthan has about 7.5 crore livestock, which is equal to the human population. The state government is continuously expanding medical facilities to keep the livestock healthy. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has started a mobile veterinary unit, which is providing livestock owners the facility of treating sick animals at home.

Apart from this, dairy animals are being insured under the Mangala Pashu Bima Yojana. Loans up to Rs 1 lakh are being provided to cattle farmers under the Gopalan Card Yojana. Chittorgarh MP CP Joshi also addressed the program. Vallabhnagar MLA Udaylal Dangi was also present on the stage as a guest.
In the beginning, Acharya Manoj Dixit, Vice Chancellor of Rajasthan Veterinary and Animal Science University Bikaner and Dean of the college Prof. Balwant Meshram welcomed the guests including the Honorable Governor Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde. Giving the welcome address, Vice Chancellor of the University Dixit informed about the activities of the university and the college. The program was conducted by Dr. Abhishek Gaurav and Dr. Mamta.
Dean Dr Balwant Meshram expressed his gratitude. Additional District Collector (Administration) Dipendra Singh Rathore, Joint Director of Animal Husbandry Department Dr Sharad Arora, NSC ANO Dr Sanveer Khatun, College’s Dr Tikam Goyal, Dr Govardhan, Dr Sunil Arora, Dr Mahendra Meel, Dr Tarun Preet along with officers and employees, college staff, students and general public were present in the program.
