Cognizant has announced that CEO Ravi Kumar S has been included in the 2025 TIME 100 AI list. This esteemed recognition emphasizes Kumar’s visionary leadership and his significant contributions to enterprise AI. The TIME 100 AI list celebrates the most impactful leaders, thinkers, scientists, and policymakers across various sectors who are influencing today’s AI landscape. Being featured on this list showcases Kumar’s commitment to advancing AI technology and highlights Cognizant’s dedication to fostering innovation and excellence throughout the industry. Under Kumar’s direction, Cognizant committed $1 billion in 2023 to enhance enterprise AI initiatives. The company is nearing the milestone of 1 million individuals benefiting from skilling and training opportunities in AI and advanced technologies through its global Synapse skilling initiative.
Additionally, Kumar recently launched the world’s largest coding event for Cognizant employees to promote AI literacy at all levels, which resulted in a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the most participants in an online generative AI hackathon. Over 30,000 prototype projects were created by more than 53,000 employees from 40 countries, showcasing their efforts to leverage AI for emerging opportunities in the AI economy. To sustain ongoing AI innovation at Cognizant, Kumar has developed an organizational framework that encourages agile, purpose-driven collaboration rather than strict hierarchies.
