Wordle is an engaging word game where players attempt to guess a five-letter word within six attempts. Created by Josh Wardle in 2021, it was acquired by The New York Times in 2022. To play, choose an initial word. Letters will appear green if they are in the correct position, yellow if they are in the word but incorrectly placed, and gray if they are not in the word at all. A recommended starting word is ‘trace’, according to The New York Times. The game is available to play for free online; however, to track your scores and access additional features, a New York Times subscription is required.

Today’s Wordle hints indicate that the word is a verb, something that dogs enjoy doing, contains one vowel (the letter E), begins with the letter F, and has no repeating letters. The meaning of the word is to retrieve something and bring it back. The answer for today is: Fetch.
