ChatGPT, a popular AI chatbot, is currently facing a major service disruption that is frustrating users worldwide. The outage seems to be particularly intense in India, where numerous users report that the AI assistant is unresponsive. Downdetector, a monitoring platform, indicates that over 500 complaints have been filed by Indian users alone, with the number of reports increasing rapidly, signaling a swift escalation of the problem. Users are turning to social media to express their frustrations, with many mentioning their inability to log in or encountering persistent error messages from the chatbot.
Some users have remarked that the service is “delivering error messages” or is simply “unresponsive.” This unexpected disruption has left many who rely on the chatbot’s services in a difficult situation. The reason for the outage remains unclear, and OpenAI, the company behind the AI, has not yet issued a statement addressing the ongoing issues.
