Lucknow: Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Monday advocated for the establishment of additional military schools in strategic locations throughout the country, emphasizing the vital role these institutions play in developing skilled officers who can protect national security without causing collateral damage. In a detailed post on X, Yadav, who is an alumnus of the Military School in Dholpur, congratulated the institution on its centennial anniversary and acknowledged its influence on his personal and public life. He described it as a respected institution where he learned the values of patriotism, discipline, camaraderie, and a balanced lifestyle—principles that have profoundly impacted his life and career.
The former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh expressed his appreciation for the contributions of teachers, administrators, staff, and classmates in instilling progressive values. He highlighted the necessity for these schools to integrate modern strategies and technologies suited for contemporary warfare. “Given the sensitivity of our nation’s borders and the challenges we face in frontier areas, we strongly support the establishment of more military schools at strategic locations,” he stated. Yadav stressed that these institutions should adopt advanced tactics and technologies to cultivate highly skilled military officers capable of ensuring national defense while minimizing harm to lives and property. He added, “Military strength fosters peace, as a reduction in strength or a power imbalance often leads to conflict.
Positive power leads to peace, which in turn promotes progress and development.”
