The pop icon revealed on Thursday that she will be releasing a new album in 2026. In the same announcement, she indicated that she has re-signed with Warner Records nearly two decades after departing from the label. The singer describes her return as a sort of homecoming, as her journey to global fame began in 1982 with Warner’s Sire Records, where she spent the initial 25 years of her career. “In the early ’80s, I was a struggling artist in New York City with aspirations of becoming a star. Signing a deal for an album that was only meant to produce three singles was the last thing on my mind at that time.
When I did sign that album release, I recall feeling like my world was on the brink of a comeback—and it truly was,” Madonna stated. “From the very start, Warner Records has been a genuine creative partner, and I’m excited to be back. I look forward to the future and to creating music that surprises people and perhaps even challenges them, sparking necessary conversations.” This upcoming album will be Madonna’s first new music in seven years. She is also collaborating with DJ Stuart Price again for this project. Price produced her critically acclaimed 2005 album Confessions on a Dance Floor, which remains a fan favorite. “We are excited to welcome Madonna back to Warner Records.
