London-based tech company Nothing has officially introduced its latest flagship true wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds, the Nothing Ear 3. Staying true to its signature transparent design, the new Ear 3 combines aesthetics with innovation. While global customers can purchase the device starting September 25, Indian buyers must wait as the brand has yet to announce its launch in India. The Nothing Ear 3 maintains the company’s recognizable style, featuring transparent stems with branding and a sleek charging case. This time, however, the case includes a metallic finish with a clear lid, enhancing both style and functionality. For those familiar with earlier Nothing earbuds, the Ear 3 offers continuity while still presenting a modern twist.
A notable feature this year is the new Talk button integrated into the case. A simple press activates what the brand calls the Super Mic, which consists of a dual-microphone setup embedded in the case. Nothing claims this design minimizes external noise by up to 95dB while prioritizing the user’s voice. The Super Mic can be used not only for phone calls but also for voice recordings, which are automatically saved in Nothing’s ‘Essential Space’ on its smartphones. For non-Nothing devices, recordings will be stored in the default voice recording app, with automatic transcription for user convenience. The Ear 3 also excels in performance beyond the unique case-based microphone system.
Each earbud is equipped with three directional microphones and a bone-conduction Voice Pick-up Unit (VPU). The VPU detects micro-vibrations from the jaw and ear canal, converting them into electrical signals for clear voice capture. According to Nothing, this design reduces wind noise by up to 25dB, ensuring smooth calls even in difficult conditions. The earbuds provide up to 45dB Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) for a truly immersive listening experience, supported by 12mm dynamic drivers for robust sound. With spatial audio support, users can enjoy a more engaging soundstage. In terms of connectivity, the Ear 3 features Bluetooth 5.4 and dual-device pairing for multitasking. The earbuds have an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance, making them suitable for daily use.
Battery life is another highlight, with 55mAh batteries in each earbud and a 500mAh case offering up to 38 hours of playback on a single charge. The case supports wireless charging for added convenience. The Nothing Ear 3 is priced at $179 in the US (approximately ₹15,800), GBP 179 in the UK (about ₹21,500), and EUR 179 in Europe (roughly ₹18,700). While global sales commence on September 25, Indian pricing and availability remain unannounced. Additionally, Nothing’s sub-brand CMF is set to launch its first over-the-ear headphones later this month, further expanding the company’s audio product range.
