PM Modi Launches Indigenous BSNL 4G Network in Odisha

Lucknow, September 27: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that India, under the leadership of PM Modi, confidently asserts itself on the global platform, resilient against challenges and leading in the digital transformation. He made these remarks during the inauguration of the indigenous BSNL 4G network and BharatNet project by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Odisha, with participation from Chief Ministers, ministers, and key officials nationwide via virtual connection. CM Yogi noted that BharatNet’s indigenous 4G infrastructure will enhance India’s digital revolution, commending PM Modi and the BSNL team for their accomplishment.

He highlighted his efforts since 2017 to connect every Gram Panchayat with optical fiber, facilitating access to services like income, residence, and birth-death certificates at village secretariats, creating job opportunities and extending banking services. Villagers have received over Rs 100 crore in benefits through BC Sakhis, and BSNL’s 4G network is set to transform remote and Naxal-impacted areas such as Chandauli, Sonbhadra, and Chitrakoot, with advancements in 5G and 6G already in progress. CM Yogi asserted that a sovereign nation requires an indigenous military, an independent foreign policy, homegrown technology, and a fight against corruption—all essential elements of New India.

He remarked that India’s military now ranks among the world’s most formidable, with accomplishments in Akash and BrahMos missiles, drones, and robotics reflecting a developed nation. The CM stressed that India will engage with the world in a friendly manner but will not succumb to external pressures—a consistent message under PM Modi’s guidance. Addressing past challenges faced by pensioners, he noted that they previously had to make multiple office visits, often losing substantial funds to corruption. Currently, through DBT, 1 crore marginalized women, elderly, and disabled individuals receive an annual sum of Rs 12,000 directly credited to their accounts.

More than 60 lakh SC, ST, and OBC students benefit from Rs 6,000 crore in digital scholarships, showcasing India’s leadership in UPI payments as a hallmark of the digital revolution and efforts to combat corruption. CM Yogi pointed out that prior to 2017, networking mafias dominated the system, but these were dismantled to ensure efficient governance. He concluded that BSNL’s 4G network will enhance rural technology and the economy, establishing self-reliant village panchayats and municipal bodies as the cornerstone of a developed India. Present at the event were Union Minister of State Pankaj Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Dinesh Sharma, Brijlal, Sanjay Seth, Mayor Sushma Kharwal, and several other dignitaries.
