HBO has officially revealed that A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, the eagerly awaited spin-off of Game of Thrones, will debut in January 2026. This series, based on George R.R. Martin’s Tales of Dunk and Egg novellas, chronicles the adventures of Ser Duncan the Tall and his squire Egg, occurring nearly a century prior to the Game of Thrones narrative and 72 years after House of the Dragon. The streaming service shared a new poster, captioned, “This Winter, Spring is Coming #AKnightoftheSevenKingdoms premieres this January, only on HBO max.” In India, viewers will be able to stream A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms on JioHotstar, as confirmed by the official Game of Thrones account.
The series will feature six episodes, starting with an adaptation of “The Hedge Knight.” Peter Claffey takes on the role of Ser Duncan the Tall, while Dexter Sol Ansell plays Egg. The show aims to deliver a more grounded, character-focused narrative, highlighting the lives of ordinary people rather than the political machinations and magic that defined its predecessors. With the premiere of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms slated for early 2026, fans can anticipate a new viewpoint on the expansive world of Westeros.
