Hyderabad-based designer Harish Akkisetty, a well-known figure in Indian bridal and couture fashion, has been featured in various publications across India, highlighting his collections, collaborations, and his expansion into both national and international markets since he began hosting runway shows to present his work in India. Harish Akkisetty is recognized for his signature ‘confection-pretty’ Indian wear, which is defined by intricate embroidery, cutdana work, vivid colors, and romantic floral prints that fuse traditional elements with a modern feminine touch. A self-taught designer from Hyderabad, Harish launched his label after gaining experience by working in designer stores and participating in runway shows as a guest, where he connected with designers involved in backstage management.
He has showcased his collections on numerous prestigious platforms, including Times Fashion Week, Bangalore Fashion Week, Madras Couture Week, Bhubaneswar Runway Week, Global India Couture Week, and India Fashion Week London, among others. Notably, he has gained fame for his wedding trousseau line and has presented bridal and fusion wear on various international stages, including India Fashion Week London. Harish draws inspiration from travel, art, and the rich cultures of India, particularly from his hometown in Andhra Pradesh’s Bapatla district.
He is actively expanding his business throughout India and internationally, aiming to elevate his presence in the fashion industry with innovative designs and plans to showcase his work on red carpets, such as at the Cannes Film Festival in France, and other notable international runways.
