A three-day All India Railway Hindi Rajbhasha Competition took place from October 7 to October 9, 2025, at the Modern Coach Factory (MCF) in Raebareli, aimed at promoting the use of Hindi among railway employees. Organized by the Railway Board in collaboration with MCF’s Rajbhasha Department, the event concluded with a valedictory ceremony and award distribution attended by notable figures including Mr. Prashant Kumar Mishra, General Manager of MCF, and Ms. B. Saguna, Director (Rajbhasha) of the Railway Board.
The competitions included Essay Writing, Noting & Drafting, and Elocution, with winners from various railways: In the Essay Writing Competition, 1st place was awarded to Manali Dev Sharma from the Northeast Frontier Railway, 2nd place to Sanjay Thakur from the East Central Railway, and 3rd place to Swati Mishra from the North Central Railway. In the Noting & Drafting Competition, the winners were Sarbendu Haldar from the Northeast Frontier Railway, Gauri Shankar Singh from the Banaras Locomotive Works, and Vinay Kumar Jha from the North Western Railway. In the Elocution Competition, Ankit Kumar Upadhyay from Northern Railway secured 1st place, followed by Dhanvinder Kaur from Rail Coach Factory and R. Mangaiyarkarasi from Integral Coach Factory. General Manager Mr.
Mishra emphasized the importance of Railways and the Hindi language in fostering national unity and thanked the Railway Board for hosting the event at MCF. Ms. B. Saguna praised MCF for the successful organization of the competition and expressed the hope for future events. The program included cultural performances by children from MCF’s Cultural Association and Scout & Guide Unit. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Mr. Ashtanand Pathak, Deputy Chief Rajbhasha Officer, and was attended by various officials and members from different railway organizations.
