Day 2 of Lakmē Fashion Week, in collaboration with FDCI, showcased a blend of innovation, glamour, and storytelling as designers and brands pushed the boundaries of Indian fashion. The event featured celestial-themed couture lingerie, children’s wear, and collaborations with celebrities, highlighting a celebration of bold creativity and craftsmanship. Enamor, a leading lingerie brand, ignited the runway with its collaboration with Papa Don’t Preach by Shubhika. The collection, named Enamor X PDP – A Luxury Curation, redefined lingerie as couture, merging confidence, elegance, and bold self-expression. Drawing inspiration from celestial themes, the line showcased deep blues, ivories, and scarlets, reflecting the cosmos’s mystical beauty.
Shekhar Tewari, CEO of Modenik Lifestyle, labeled the collaboration as “a bold couture statement,” while Shubhika Sharma noted that the collection represents “a woman’s two universes — the one she shows the world and the one she keeps within.” This showcase highlighted a fusion of intimacy and empowerment, elevating lingerie to an art form. Designers Gauri & Nainika presented a touching Spring–Summer 2026 collection in partnership with Mothercare, bridging women’s and children’s fashion. Inspired by romantic floral paintings, the line featured miniature versions for girls that echoed the elegance of the main collection.
Fabrics like silk organza and tulle brought life to full skirts, delicate bows, and velvet accents, as children walked alongside models in matching outfits, symbolizing timeless elegance across generations. A significant moment of the day was actor Aditi Rao Hydari’s announcement as Co-Creative Director for Satya Paul, launching an exclusive collection next year. During a showcase titled The Night Garden, Aditi celebrated nature’s beauty after dark, expressing her vision to create versatile, effortless pieces that resonate with those seeking beauty and luxury while maintaining individuality. Abraham & Thakore concluded the day with their collection, Warp & Weft, which seamlessly blended heritage and modernity. The designers reinterpreted the classic dhoti and lungi into contemporary silhouettes.
Crafted from 100% Tencel ikat, the garments were soft and graceful while honoring traditional weaves. Women’s wear glimmered with subtle metallic embroidery, and men’s wear featured relaxed sophistication with tailored bundgalas and kurtas. The showstopper, Veer Pahariya, captivated the audience in an embellished bundgala and flowing trousers, exemplifying understated glamour.
