Apple has officially introduced the new 14-inch MacBook Pro in India, equipped with the revolutionary M5 processor that enhances performance and efficiency significantly. The laptop is now available for pre-order and will be available in retail stores starting October 22, 2025. The base model of the new MacBook Pro 14 with the M5 processor starts at ₹1,69,900, which includes 16GB of RAM and 512GB SSD storage. Apple also offers two higher-end configurations: one with 1TB storage priced at ₹1,89,900 and another with 24GB RAM and 1TB SSD available for ₹2,09,900. For advanced users, Apple’s online store allows customization options up to 32GB of RAM and a substantial 4TB SSD, doubling last year’s maximum storage capacity.
The laptop is available in Silver and Space Black finishes. Students can benefit from a ₹10,000 discount through Apple’s Education Store, making it more accessible for young professionals and creators. At the core of this upgrade is the M5 chip, Apple’s latest in-house silicon. Also incorporated in the new iPad Pro and Vision Pro, the M5 continues Apple’s approach of harmonizing performance across its product line. The chip features a 10-core CPU, a 10-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine dedicated to AI-driven tasks. Apple asserts that the M5 provides up to 15% faster CPU performance and 45% improved graphics compared to the previous M4 chip.
Each GPU core is now equipped with a Neural Accelerator, enhancing AI graphic processing capabilities by over four times. Memory bandwidth has been enhanced to 153GB/s, which supports demanding creative tasks and multitasking efficiently. From a design perspective, Apple retains its classic look with a durable aluminum chassis. The 14.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR display boasts a sharp 3024×1964 resolution, a 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1,600 nits (HDR). This display continues to set high standards in visual performance, and professionals can select the nano-texture glass option to reduce reflections in brightly lit environments. Connectivity options are extensive, featuring three Thunderbolt ports, HDMI, an SDXC card slot, MagSafe 3, and a headphone jack.
The backlit Magic Keyboard with Touch ID enhances the premium feel. Running on macOS Tahoe (macOS 26), the new MacBook Pro fully supports Apple Intelligence, which includes on-device AI tools for tasks like text summarization and image editing. Additional features include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, a 12MP Center Stage camera, and a six-speaker Dolby Atmos sound system. Security is managed via Touch ID integrated into the power button. The device is powered by a 72.4Wh battery that allows for up to 24 hours of video playback. It comes with a 70W USB-C charger, with an option for a 96W adapter for quicker charging. Weighing 1.55kg, it is lightweight enough for creators and professionals who are frequently on the go.
With this launch, Apple reinforces its position in the premium laptop market, delivering power, portability, and smart performance in a familiar yet refined design.
