Supreme Court Hears Concerns Over Unhygienic Court Washrooms

On the evening of October 21, 2025, Union Minister for Railways, Information and Broadcasting, and Electronics and Information Technology, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, carried out an unexpected inspection at New Delhi Railway Station. During his visit, he examined the control room located on platform No. 1, which oversees operations throughout the station. He engaged directly with travelers on platforms No. 12 and 13. Additionally, he spoke with sleeper class passengers aboard the Amrit Bharat Express on platform No. 16 to gather insights and feedback regarding their experiences. He also reviewed the Yatri Suvidha Kendra, seeking input from passengers about the amenities provided by the Railways.

In a statement to the media, Shri Vaishnaw emphasized, “Indian Railways has implemented comprehensive measures to ensure passengers face no inconvenience, even during peak times. 1.2 million railway employees are dedicated to serving passengers around the clock.” Accompanying him during the inspection were Chairman and CEO of the Railway Board Shri Satish Kumar, General Manager of Northern Railway Shri Ashok Kumar Verma, along with other senior officials.
