Samsung, India’s largest consumer electronics brand, celebrated a significant milestone in its flagship tech education program, Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC), by recognizing 1600 young participants in Gorakhpur. The ceremony took place at the Yogi Baba Gambhirnath Prekshagrih Auditorium, where the Honourable Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, awarded certificates to outstanding students and praised the initiative’s role in promoting future-ready education and digital inclusion. This initiative aligns with the Government of India’s Skill India and Digital India missions, providing youth with vital skills in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, and Coding & Programming.
The Samsung Innovation Campus, which is the company’s key CSR program, now operates across 10 states with the goal of upskilling 20,000 students nationwide by 2025—an increase of six times compared to the previous year. The initiative has achieved 44% participation from women, highlighting Samsung’s commitment to inclusive and equitable skill development. In Uttar Pradesh, 5000 students will receive training this year, accounting for about 25% of the national target, positioning the state as a leader in fostering digital empowerment and job-ready talent. JB Park, President and CEO of Samsung Southwest Asia, stated, “At Samsung, we believe the future of India will be defined by its youth.
Through Samsung Innovation Campus, we are not only educating the youth in technical skills but nurturing confidence, creativity, and problem-solving abilities—qualities that will help young people build meaningful careers and shape the nation’s digital transformation.” He added that the initiative reflects India’s strong desire for learning and progress, emphasizing that skills in AI, IoT, Big Data, and Coding & Programming are essential for today’s opportunities. Yogi Adityanath remarked, “Our young people are the foundation of Uttar Pradesh’s progress and the driving force behind India’s growth story. I am delighted to see global companies like Samsung investing in their skills and aspirations.
By learning emerging technologies, our students are preparing to lead the industries of tomorrow.” He noted that this program supports the vision of transforming Uttar Pradesh into a skilled manpower hub and achieving digital excellence. Samsung has partnered with the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) under the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) to train students via accredited partners. Launched in India in 2022, Samsung Innovation Campus aims to train 26,500 students by 2025. The program also emphasizes soft skills training and job placement support to enhance employability and workplace readiness, demonstrating Samsung’s commitment to democratizing technology and preparing India’s youth for an innovation-driven future.
