A disturbing event transpired at a wedding in Amravati, Maharashtra, when the groom was assaulted and stabbed multiple times while on stage. Following the initial chaos, a dramatic pursuit unfolded as the wedding videographer, who was capturing the event, quickly utilized his drone to follow the fleeing attacker for nearly two kilometers. This incident took place on Monday. The assailant, named Ragho Jitendra Bakshi, approached the groom during the ceremony and reportedly stabbed him three times before escaping. Guests were thrown into disarray as the attacker made a dash for the exit. In a remarkable response, the videographer redirected his drone towards the suspect, capturing the intense pursuit.
The footage reveals the assailant, clad in an orange hoodie, sprinting towards a motorcycle parked outside, where another individual in black joined him, and they attempted to flee together. A family member of the couple was seen in the video trying to intercept them while the drone continued to follow their motorcycle for almost two kilometers, documenting the entire escape. Authorities have acquired the drone footage and are reviewing it to identify the attackers and reconstruct their getaway route. Initial investigations indicate that the stabbing stemmed from a heated argument that occurred earlier during a DJ dance segment at the event.
The groom was promptly taken to RIMS Hospital, where doctors confirmed he suffered serious injuries but is currently out of danger. Police are actively searching for both suspects captured in the footage.
