Patna: As the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections approach, political tensions in the state are rising. The Bihar Pradesh Samajwadi Party (SP) has unveiled a provocative poster that has quickly gained traction on social media and within local communities, targeting prominent Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders, including Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The poster, titled “Goodbye Uncle,” features a cartoonish portrayal of Shah and Nitish against a backdrop of public unrest and economic struggles. The accompanying slogans state, “When the public erupts in uproar, the foundations of palaces crumble” and “The crown flies in the air with the force of its breath,” reflecting the party’s discontent with the BJP government’s management of public trust and governance.

It also includes images of Grand Alliance leaders, such as Akhilesh Yadav and members of the Lalu Prasad family, conveying the SP’s ambition to establish a new government: “Vacate the throne, the ‘Tejaswi government’ is coming.” Dharmveer Yadav, the former state president of the SP, is reportedly the chief strategist behind this campaign and has stated that growing public dissatisfaction with the BJP may lead to a Grand Alliance government in Bihar. The poster has intensified the already charged political environment surrounding the elections, although the BJP has not yet provided an official response. Analysts note that such provocative political messages signal a highly competitive and confrontational election season.
