Prime Minister Narendra Modi took part in the Sathya Sai Baba Jayanti Utsavam, which was celebrated with great fervor at Prashanth Nilayam in Puttaparthi. During his visit, he paid tribute at the Sathya Sai Maha Samadhi situated in Sai Kulwant Hall, accompanied by prominent figures such as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar, and actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. At the gathering, Prime Minister Modi introduced a commemorative ₹100 coin and four postage stamps honoring the life, teachings, and philanthropic contributions of Sathya Sai Baba. Following the unveiling, he spoke to the attendees, who reflected on their experiences with Sathya Sai Baba.
Chief Minister Naidu commended Sathya Sai for his belief that serving humanity is equivalent to serving God, emphasizing the many welfare projects he supported. After the commemorative event, Prime Minister Modi is set to head to Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, to inaugurate the South India Natural Agriculture Summit-2025. He will also release the 21st installment of the PM-KISAN scheme, transferring over ₹18,000 crore to the accounts of 9 crore farmers across the country.
