Mumbai, April 17 (). Amid the ongoing political row over the death of at least 12 disciples due to heatstroke, reformer Dattatreya Narayan Dharmadhikari on Monday expressed his deep anguish and pain over the tragedy. Dattatreya Narayan is revered as Appasaheb.
Appasaheb Dharmadhikari said in a signed statement that all those who attended the state government’s Maharashtra Bhushan Awards 2022 ceremony were like my family.
He said that the Sri Sadasya family is spread across the country and abroad. Several people lost their lives due to heat stroke after the award ceremony. It is very painful for me because this calamity has befallen my family members. I am also feeling their loss like my family.
The social worker said that he cannot express in words the loss he has felt for Sridasya. But he prayed for the departed souls and said that may God give strength to their families to bear this loss.
Appasaheb Dharmadhikari also said that whatever happened was certainly tragic, appealing that the matter should not be politicised.
