Acharya Balkrishna Ji, General Secretary of Patanjali Yogpeeth, was the chief guest at the 23rd convocation of the UPES School of Business in Haridwar on November 10. He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Philosophy for his extraordinary contributions. Upon arrival, he was warmly welcomed by the UPES management, students, and faculty. In his address, Acharya Ji emphasized that continuity, dedication, and engagement in service are fundamental strengths. He highlighted how Patanjali, under the guidance of revered Swami Ji, is committed to global service initiatives, driven by the hard work of countless Patanjali supporters. Such honors, he noted, motivate them to enhance their service efforts. UPES Vice Chancellor Dr.
Ram Sharma commended Acharya Ji for his selfless service to humanity, expressing hope that the graduating students would be inspired to embark on new journeys with renewed vigor. He remarked that the Patanjali model, under Acharya Ji’s leadership, has emerged as a leading business model in India, reinforcing customer trust in accordance with Indian traditions. Many of the country’s top entrepreneurs draw inspiration from this model. Acharya Ji expressed his gratitude to the Chancellor Dr. Sunil Roy, Vice Chancellors Dr. Ram Sharma and Dr. Jai Shankar, Registrar Prof. Manish Madan, Director of the School of Business Prof. Rahul Nainwal, Dean of Research Dr. Ashwini Nangia, MD of Schlumberger Mr.
Lalit Agarwal, the Academic Council, Governing Body members, and all students for their support.
