Jaipur. In Rajasthan, 1 lakh contract employees adding work experience on the lines of IAS cadre will not be permanent. Controversy has arisen in Rajasthan over the decision to make contract employees permanent. Officials of Samyukta Samvida Mukti Morcha told that the government is adding work experience of these employees on the lines of IAS, which will prevent about one lakh contract employees of the state from becoming permanent.

In this case, Ramswaroop Tak of Samyukta Samvida Mukti Morcha pointed out that even in Punjab and Orissa, contract employees have been made permanent whereas there only the entire work experience has been made permanent under this decision.

Controversy has arisen over the decision to make contract employees permanent in Rajasthan. Officials of the Joint Contractual Employment Liberation Front said that the government is comparing the experience of contract employees with that of an IAS officer. The result of this will be that more than one lakh employees will not be made permanent in the state.

In such a situation, the government should amend its orders in the budget session itself to match the experience of contract employees with the experience of Punjab and Odisha, so that justice can be given to the employees working on low wages in the state for a long time.

Ramswaroop Tak of Samyukta Samvida Rozgar Mukti Morcha said that in Punjab and Odisha too, contract employees have been made permanent. The entire work experience of the employees was considered for their permanent placement. However, in Rajasthan, experience is being counted on the basis of IAS cadre by unnecessarily violating the rules, which is completely wrong.

Tak told that according to the IAS pattern, three years of work experience is added for one year. Therefore, after this decision, only the work experience of the last five years of the employees working for the last 15 years will be considered. This means that more than one lakh employees will not be made permanent in the state.

The employees of Rajasthan will not tolerate this betrayal by the Congress government. In such a situation, if the work experience of the state employees starts from zero, then it will be a great injustice to them.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot amended the rules for permanent employment of contractual employees in the budget released on February 10. In point 158, he announced that the contractual employees of Rajasthan should also be given service benefits ahead of time.

Contract employees across the state have started opposing the government’s decision to add experience to state contract employees on the lines of the new rules, in a manner similar to the benefits given to those selected for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS).

It may be noted that the government had recently announced its decision to regularize over 110,000 contract employees working in government departments. Under the contract service rules, the formula for inclusion of teacher, para teacher and gram panchayat assistant was fixed on October 21 and those whose previous salary was higher will get new salary with two annual increments.

Meanwhile, the initial pay for contract workers will be fixed at Rs 10,400 per month. Thus after completing nine years of service they will get Rs 18,500 and after 18 years of service they will get Rs 32,300.

Besides, the wages of those contractual workers who were already getting higher wages have been protected. Their service of nine and 18 years shall be reckoned from the date of coming into force of these rules. Earlier their service was not included in the calculation of nine and 18 years.

1 lakh 10 thousand contract employees waiting for regularization

At present, a total of 41 thousand 423 contract workers including education workers, para teachers, gram panchayat assistants, English medium teachers of the education department will be regular in Rajasthan.

Similarly, a total of 18 thousand 326 contract workers of Rajivika and MNREGA of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department, 5 thousand 697 madrasa para teachers of Minority Department, 44 thousand 833 contract workers of Health Department and total 1 lakh 10 thousand 279 contract workers will be regular. ,
