Gehlot, who reached the inflation relief camp in Hariyadhana village of Bilara area of Jodhpur, said that the people of Karnataka have given a befitting reply to the BJP. He also termed the election result as a response to Rahul Gandhi connecting with the people.

He said, a case was registered against Rahul Gandhi in Surat by making his statement an issue. Because of this, his MP post was taken away. It was a conspiracy, which the public has understood.

Gehlot said, Rahul Gandhi was not allowed to speak in the House. He was suspended from the House. The people of Karnataka have now given an answer to the BJP for all these acts.

On the election results, he said, the result has come as I thought. I had also gone to Karnataka two-three times. Crowd of people had gathered in Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra. Seeing this, it was clear what the result would be. The hard work of Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge and DK Shivakumar paid off.

On the Bajrang Dal controversy, he asked, is it that only those who vote for BJP are devotees of Bajrangbali and one who does not vote for BJP cannot be a devotee of Bajrangbali? The people of Karnataka have made it clear that Hanuman belongs to everyone.

He said that the people of Karnataka have understood how the BJP is toppling the governments of the opposition. He said, there was a conspiracy to topple the governments in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh. In fact, they couldn’t do that in Rajasthan because we didn’t let the government fall.

He said, now that the results of Karnataka have come, the public has understood their (BJP’s) gimmick. The public has come to know that it is toppling the elected government by horse-trading, then how will democracy remain strong? Democracy will be weakened by such cases and the people of the country will not tolerate it at all.
