Infrgy LLC is showcasing the next stage of their innovative Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) technology at the University of Kashmir. This development employs beamforming alongside Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Software-Defined Radio (SDR) to direct wireless signals in specific directions, enhancing signal strength and minimizing interference. These technologies collectively have the potential to make wireless power transfer more precise, adaptable, and scalable than ever before. Parvez Rishi, co-founder of Infrgy, expressed: “We are excited to collaborate with Professor Rouf Ul Alam Bhat to further develop our Energy Harvesting and Wireless Power Transfer technologies.

While traditional RF wireless power transfer methods typically deliver power ranging from microwatts to milliwatts, our innovations employing AI beamforming can deliver many watts over extended distances.” The core idea of wireless power transfer relies on electromagnetic fields to transmit energy over a distance. However, due to inherent propagation losses, much of the energy can dissipate into the environment, leading to reduced efficiency. Beamforming, a technique initially designed for communication systems, directs electromagnetic waves toward a specific target by utilizing constructive interference from multiple antennas.
