Passengers returning to India from Italy for Diwali faced unexpected disruption on Friday when Air India informed them of the cancellation of their flight. The airline announced that flight AI138 from Milan to Delhi was cancelled due to a technical issue with the aircraft. An Air India spokesperson explained that the cancellation on October 17, 2025, was necessary to address an extended technical requirement, emphasizing the importance of passenger and crew safety. Although the airline arranged hotel accommodations for all affected passengers, some were placed in hotels outside the airport’s immediate vicinity.
