The iPhone 17 series is anticipated to launch at a higher price point owing to increased component costs and feature enhancements. Apple recently announced the opening of its fourth store in Pune, set to debut on 4 September. This new outlet will be named Apple Koregaon Park, marking the company’s fourth retail location in India. The iPhone 17 will be officially revealed during an Apple Event at the Steve Jobs Theatre in Cupertino on 9 September 2025. Following the global launch, the iPhone 17 will be available for purchase in India starting 19 September, with pre-orders commencing a week earlier on 12 September.
A significant highlight of the iPhone 17 series is the introduction of the iPhone 17 Air, which is expected to be the slimmest model to date. The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are also expected to feature advancements such as a periscope telephoto camera for improved optical zoom, the new A19 Bionic chip, and iOS 26, which will include enhanced AI capabilities. In terms of design, the iPhone 17 will reportedly adopt a flat-edge form factor with slimmer bezels and a lighter construction. The Pro models are likely to incorporate a titanium frame for enhanced durability and reduced weight.
As for the camera capabilities, leaks suggest that the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max will include a periscope telephoto lens that improves optical zoom and low-light performance, with potential support for 8K video recording. Although Apple has not yet disclosed the pricing for the iPhone 17, industry insiders estimate the base model will start around ₹79,900, while sales for the iPhone 17 in India are expected to begin above ₹1,29,900. The iPhone 17 Air may provide a more budget-friendly premium experience in comparison.
