In a firm warning to Pakistan, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi stated on Friday that if the neighboring country wishes to maintain its place on the global stage, it must cease its support for terrorism. He emphasized that India is fully prepared and will not exercise the restraint it did during Operation Sindoor in the event of a future military confrontation. Addressing soldiers in Anupgarh, Rajasthan, General Dwivedi asserted that India would take decisive action in response to provocations, making it clear that Pakistan’s continued sponsorship of terrorism could jeopardize its standing in the world. He encouraged Indian soldiers to remain ready, suggesting that an opportunity for action would present itself soon.
The General noted that India had previously provided evidence of terrorist hideouts in Pakistan during Operation Sindoor, which was crucial in revealing the country’s complicity. He highlighted the support India received from the international community following the April 22 Pahalgam attack, leading to targeted strikes against nine locations in Pakistan—seven conducted by the Army and two by the Air Force. General Dwivedi clarified that the objective was to target terrorist bases without harming ordinary Pakistani citizens, as long as their government refrains from supporting terrorism.
